We were hit again last night!!! SNOW!!! I can't believe it. We got at least 4 inches of snow last night, with 2-4 more coming. This is March spring??? DH was out again last night salting and plowing. Will try and post pictures later, it is beautiful on the trees.
Where is Spring? Um... Spring is in TX right now, but if you want to see it, you better hurry. It'll be summer in about 2-3 more weeks. It's 70's and windy this week. It'll be 80's and sunny next week.
Not long now (I hope) Hang in there We had HEAVY rain last weekend and again this weekend and we can actually see to get out of our drive way now BUT with all the rain comes the flooding.
It's NOT here. This past Sun. and Mon., we got 3ft. on top of the 3ft we already had I have never seen so much snow in my life. The only reason I don't want spring to come is because it makes it hard to finish up the school year. We will have winter here until mid May Ok, maybe I am ready for spring!
Same here (AZ), except a little warmer. We hit 90 yesterday. We have been mid 80s. Trees are blooming and allergies are kicking in all around announcing the bloom of spring. Last week I took DS to the pool since it has been so warm. I too fear the summer that will be here before we know it.
That groundhog lied!!!! And March is the cruelest month in the Northeast. You think March is going to be spring. If someone asks you what months are the Spring months, you say March, April, and May, right? Wrong! March is not Spring. It's so cruel. I get fooled every year. Every year I think, "Oh goodie. Here comes March. It must be Spring." Ugh. I'm understanding those snowbirds that head to Florida every winter more and more each year!
Our snow is finally gone; we've been having a lot of rain this week, and the daffodils and crocuses are coming up! That means we are sure to get another big snow. We usually have at least one more good snow storm once the daffodils are in bloom.
I'd be happy to see the snow banks disappear (mind you with the rain and fog we're having right now, that shouldn't be an issue). In New Brunswick we have 4 seasons... almost winter, winter, STILL winter and construction season. Construction season should be interesting this year... you can lose a vehicle in some of the pot holes we have around town (heaven help you if they're filled with water and you don't know they're there) and then there's all the damage that was done by flooding just before Christmas.
It is funny to see your descriptions of your seasons , because in southern Az, we have spring (now), summer, spring (there is always a second bloom of stuff after summer starts to subside), fall (can't really call it a winter).
We have winter, mud season, black fly season (also known as spring), two weeks of summer, and four weeks of fall!
LOL, after all the snow we've had this winter, I thought it was kind of fitting to share the running joke about our seasons here
