    Some of you should too!

Funny thing is, I just DID enter my dd in that! :D She loves American Girl! We thought entering the contest would be fun but she's already a great kid in my book, so I don't care if she wins or not!

OK, so here's my question. It says they can win $5,000 donated to "her cause", AND a $5,000 donated to her school. You know, this school would LOVE to get $5,000 to spend on school supplies!!! I'd not worry about buying curriculum ever again, lol!

No, I checked on that. If you are homeschooled it goes to a place of THEIR choice! Rats!

Why should my local public school get it? I think it should go to a place of mutual agreement! At least part of it should be used to purchase curriculum for the homeschool!

It won't go to a local public school, it'll go to some place that promotes education or something like that.

Yeah, that's what I understood it to mean also. Somwhere that promotes homeschool causes.

I entered my dd8. She hasn't headed up any big projects or anything, but she daily shows her servant's heart.

I saw that there are 3 winners. Wouldn't it be great if 3 girls from here won! I think your dd has a great chance, Deena!

I would think that the place of choice that promotes school would be a library.

The winner doesn't choose where either gift goes. AG chooses an organization that they feel represents the girl and her school, or in the case of a hs'er, an organization that supports homeschooling.
