That is the good news!! It has been about 10 months (Iknow~YIKES!! ) since I had it balanced to the PENNY!! About 10 months ago, I was balancing my check book like everyother day on the computer, weeellllll, the bank changed their format for logging in and that thre me off and I never sat down to figure it our, so I kinda would get off tract with balancing, use my atm card and not write it down, ect, and it really caused me alot of anxiety and worry for nothing!! Isn't that goofy?? All the times I spent being anxious i could have fixed my bank acct several times over!! So goofy! The bad news is that I have exactly $13 till hubby gets paid this Thursday! That is ok too though, cause we have groceries and the bills are paid! I will be really balancing my account probably everyother day to save myself lots of worry~ I am just terrified of accidentaly having a NSF check! Such a relief having a balanced checkbook!

Isn't it great when things match. I hear what you're saying about anxiety and worry though.

My husband does that alot and it drives me crazy. Add that to fact that I hate balancing my checkbook, as it takes me FOREVER to do, I often could just cry.

Dh does that also!! He will tell me like three days later, "Oh by the way, I took $30 out of the atm!" argh!!

It will be easy to keep up Because I really do not write alot of checks, just right after dh gets paid and then we pay the bills and so there will not be things having to clear everyday. Having my account accessable on the computer is really really nice!! I even signed up for an email alert if my account goes under $100.....this probably been out for a while, but you know what they say~"country come to town!" lol!! :D

I really really hate ditting down and balancing it with pen and paper, I rather be socked in the nose!! lol! Checking in on it everyday or so online will keep from it accumulating and having to balance all at once!

I have found that for me, and I HATE balancing my checkbook, making it a part of my daily routine helped more than I can verbalize. That way, if hubby does use the card and not tell me, I know about it within 24 hours (usually). Also, doing it everyday means only have to balance two to three lines max at any given sitting. It takes me about 5 minutes each afternoon.

I do my banking on line, so I check frequently, too. We don't have an ATM card, I don't have that to worry about. I like to be balanced to the penny, too.

Around here, it is the opposite. Handsome does the balancing. I am the one who forgets to give him my receipts. Thank God he has a better memory then I do. He usually asks me every few days if I have any that need to be recorded. I try to do this myself but I manage to mess up the account or I forget.

We tend to round up when we do the checkbook thing and at the end of the month we put the extra into savings.

Sad to say I am the one who uses the debit card and forgets to enter it in. My dh hates that. I can't say I blame him...I would hate it too if he did it. lol. Speaking of balancing...I need to do that. The gas company is showing we paid them $400 but it never was deducted from your account. Not sure if I should be praising the Lord or scared it is coming at the wrong time...like time to pay the house.
