put some picture of them doing things together, Park day, field trips, maybe even some picture or letters they wrote or drew for her. Just a thought.
Maybe you can get a picture of all her homeschool friends and have them sign the book under their pictures. Patty
I know if you put them on pages you can have them bound together at Staples. You could print them on the computer too. If you want really simple make a scrapbook. We used to do a homeschool annual but not anymore. Just not enough people taking part to do it. Lorna
I don't know much about it, but I know Creative Memories has a new computer software where you can create your own scrapbooks and they they print it and send it to you - it looks like a real live bound book, etc. And you can do ANYTHING with it. We can't use the sw b/c we're on a Mac. Apple has something similar too, just can't remember what it's called. That way it'd be something archival quality that she could hold onto for a lifetime.
Actually, Krista, that's exactly what I'm talking to my friend about. She's a Creative Memories Consultant, and I'm wanting to make a yearbook for my kids too. I hear it's quite fun and easy. The book costs around $30 though, so not sure how detailed or expensive you want, Becky??? Otherwise, I'd get normal scrapbooking paper and put pictures on those pages, and leave room for the kids to sign their names by the pictures. When people move away from our church, I am the unofficial person to make a book for them. At their goodbye party, I always have papers ready for people to write what's on their heart and sign their name. I try to get a picture of everyone also, then I put their note and the picture of them together in the album. Separately I put other pictures of their party and other things we've all done together from whoever has pictures of them.
I was going to suggest buying an inexpensive spiral-bound scrapbook for the project. Paste a picture of a friend on each page and let the friends sign the page. You could even let Jeannie write a memory of something she and that friend did together, place souvenirs on the pages, etc.
have you seen those autograph dogs they sell with the graduation stuff, they are white and come with a black marker for signatures.
The ink fades. I got one as a present when my daughter was born, guests who visited after she was born signed it. Most of the signatures are so faded now they are unreadable. BOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! I would make sure if you did something like that, that you got something that had archival fabric/markers. I'm sure the one I got was not good quality, obviously - she's 7 and I can barely read it.
