Has anyone else read that if they had their tax fees taken out of their return they do not get there rebate check direct deposited, that you will get a paper check later?

I just found this out. How horrible. I was looking forward to this check tomorrow. Now I have to wait until June 20.:(

My sis just told me this this morning! I'm confused about our situation. We did use an online program , but paid the fees through our checking account. We did not have them deduted from the refund. So I'm not sure when we'll get ours now. I think lots of folks are going to be disappointed!

I counted my chickens before they hatched.....then found out we don't get direct deposit because we paid our fees out of our return. :(

    Pam,
If you payed your fees out of your account and then had a direct deposit, you will get it direct deposited.

Those of use who did pay with our return cannot get the direct deposit because it was places like Turbo taxes account where the money went, then they took their cut and sent the rest to us. So, the IRS doesn't have our info. This is the way it was explained to me.

Yeah, that's how it was explained to me. H&R block set up a temporary account to receive our payment, took their share and then they passed the remainder on to us. So H&R block has our account info, not the IRS. :(
I'm mad at myself for thinking it would be deposited tomorrow and counting on it.

We got ours deposited last Friday as originally promised. They said they would be depositing them starting April 28th but I don't know of anyone who has a low ssn # like us that got theirs early. I think it was just the govt trying to make themselves look good.

    We paid the fees outright.

I have no clue when ours will come. I paid my tax fees upfront and not from the return. I just hope it comes soon. I am in real need of a new vaccum cleaner. AFter paying through the nose for my heating bill and a car repair, I am really looking forward to it.

We got a tototiller at a yard sale for $50.00, runs great! I have a shampooer but no carpet. I bought a new shampooer and Dyson vacuum and 5 months later we put in hardwood flooring.

Yep, same here, had it taken out of our refund- how stupid was that, cost us all of 15 dollars so should have just had them take it out of our checking account. Which still doesn't make sense to me because we used Turbotax online and had it direct deposited into our checking account so they have our checking account information whether we had the actual fee taken out of checking or the refund itself.

I told dh he needs to call the IRS tomorrow and give them our forwarding address to we don't miss the check. Apparently since our number ends in 01 the paper checks are supposed to be sent out next week or something like that and we will be moving.

If you didn't pay a fee, you should get yours tomorrow as planned. I'm holding off on making my son's orthodontist appt. until I know mine's in the bank.
