Oh, Jen, i have the same fear. It so saddens me to see the progression of where we are going. You know here is my thoughts on that point. No, i trully dont believe our grandchildren will see the same America we have seen but I do think they can see the same example of Christ if we do our job. Lately I've been trully convicted of what kind of example im being for my dc, bc after all they will be my grandchildren's parents, so it is a cycle. If i dont model for them how a mother should be then they wont know.
I was so touched last week, when my dd was helping my dh cook his specialty for supper, and i needed her help with something else. She kinda balked, and i said what is so important that you cant come in here and help, and she said well, im practicing what i want to be when i grow up. Well, i immediately thought, oh, she wants to be a chef, but she said "you know, a house wife and mom like you". OHHHHHH, just melted my heart.
I have been a failure at times in representing Christ to my dc and I think if we all rise up and put that as our priority again like it used to be for our parents and grand parents and on back, maybe just maybe our grandchildren can still see what we see.
I think that is really all we can do. I mean we can do our best to vote in people that will stand behind what "WE" believe instead of following their own political agendas. We can pray for our country and it's leaders. We HAVE to pray for the families in this country. That is what has changed, the families look nothing like they used to. And we have to put our family and what we want to pass on as a priority. Whether it be God and our christian beliefs that is a personal decision.
I trully think that in these trying times, the true church is going to stand up and rise above all this destruction, and hopefully i will be able to rise with it.
