We homeschooled independently up until 3 years ago when we joined a charter school. They are 'homeschool' and offer some on site classes like in math. Anyway, my daughter graduated last Thursday! I want to post a picture but I have to figure out how. As for plans, she wants to take a year off and work then go into dental assisting. One exciting thing for her is that an acquaintance who works for the local school district offered her a job at a elementary school as a librarian assistant. The woman said, "I know jobs are hard to come by, and it's more 'who you know', so I want to offer Ashley a job". I was floored! And it pays $13/hour. So Ashley is very excited to start in August. I think its funny that it will be the first time she'd step foot in an elementary school-now she's gonna work there! So today we went down to the bank and opened her a checking account and next week, she'll go to DMV and try to get her permit (She failed the written test twice ). Hopefully, a third time around is all she'll need. Things are moving right along for her!
