Elle's prom was tonight:)

Poor Elle's hair got kinda...frizzified by the humidity today...went crazy and everything we tried made it bigger..lol. Robby was supposed to get a haircut and it fell through! LOL...they look a little crazy...but they had a wonderful time!

Will be kinda sad to see them go to separate colleges this fall. They're such good friends. Have been "boyfriend and girlfriend" for over a year and a half.

Ah, young love.

Robby won't smile with his teeth showing because he has braces, and hates them. LOL. They were so cute!

They loved it:) There are several pics hooked to that link, if you use the arrows at the sides. (sometimes takes a second to wake up)

They held it at a classic car museum...kinda weird! But I understand the museum has a beautiful ball room, and the kids got free admission to tour the cars. They had little lighted paths set up, and Elle said it was shockingly lovely.
 
They're sweet kids. We love Robby to death. I don't think I've ever come home from the grocery store when he's here, when he hasn't jumped up to carry bags in without being asked. He offers to help with everything, is very reliable, trustworthy. Very kind boy, too. He brought me flowers when our old dog died. I thought that was so dear!

Also helps that he's a passive kinda guy, and Elle is an assertive kinda girl. I don't have to worry about her doing anything that isn't her idea. They're really good friends under the puppy love...lot of commonality and good communication.

Will be interesting to see what happens to them. They're both starting different colleges in the fall. They've decided not to stay exclusive...which has been a hard thing to cope with, for both of them, I think. But they're both of the opinion that they need to grow a little, get out of our small town for a while, get some independence. I know they plan to stay in touch and see each other during visits home.

You never know where you'll find the person you end up with. Sometimes, after you get your education and get your life started...you start thinking an awful lot about people back home. Would not surprise me at all...if Robby made several appearances in Elle's life. You never know:)
