Pumpkin Spice Dump Cake

INGREDIENTS
1 package spice cake mix
1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin

DIRECTIONS
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F Generously grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
In a large bowl, mix together the spice cake mix and canned pumpkin until well blended. Spread evenly into the prepared pan.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool and serve, or store in the refrigerator. This tastes even better the next day.

I wonder how well this would work with, say, a white cake mix. I've got boxes of cake mix and cans of pumpkin. But not spice cake. I'll have to experiment. Worst than can happen is that I have to eat cake, right?

Oh wow...that sounds awesome! I have having bible study at my house next week..I think I will serve that! Thanks!

ha... I was at the grocery store last night.. and this jumped into my head.. so I jumped to the baking isle.. would you believe they had no spiced cake mixes??? grrrrr

Amie: I would add the pumpkin spice yourself, I posted it a while back. (If you like a cinnamon flavor).

Thanks!!! I'll look for it today. I'm really craving a sweet something-or-other and with it really feeling like fall today, pumpkin would hit the spot.

I am making this today. Can you believe I got on just to check the recipe! LOL. I just had to be sure that it really only had two ingredients! LOL. Let you all know how it turns out!

Oh man that sounds good! I think I will make one for homecoming at church tomorrow and put cream cheese icing on it. I take one stick of margarine, one block of cream cheese and powdered sugar and mix it until creamy. I use about a box and a half of cream cheese for a large cake. My family loves it. Thanks for sharing this one. Beth

oh yummy that sounds delish!

I have a recipe for a spice cake, which is simple enough but to add pumpkin?! OH MY...SWOON!

I am going grocery shopping after church tomorrow. Guess what I'll be picking up! And teh cream cheese frosting sound so good.

Beth, what did the people think of cake? I am excited to see how it turned out. To see if I need to go hunting for a spice cake mix..

Oh Beth, I had a wonderful talk with you yesterday.. you are a sweetie.. we have to work something out so we can all meet soon.

I made this yesterday for company and it was a HUGE hit! My company and my kids loved it! My dh doesn't like pumpkin stuff and didn't even try it I think...the whimp! LOL. I added chocolate chips...Hee hee...lol. I didn't add a glaze or frosting though. I think I will make it next week for a bible study and try it with a cream cheese frosting and omit the chocolate chips. I really love this recipe! I even had some for breakfast this morning! Thanks AMy!
