I guess we sent them too much traffic and their little FTP bells and whistles started going off. hahaha!
It is actually rare that someone forgets what they have online. It was a legitimately free site, open to the public, when it was posted by scott foresman reading program.....
Apparently they were bought out or somehow the company changed policy and they no longer wish to allow free downloads. They would rather direct us to their paid products.
No problem, That is their prerogative. It was nice while it lasted.
Everyone I link to, is simply linking to live products on their owner's site. Nothing is password protected, not do we access anything illegally. (Just in case that issue comes up).
Plus many companies give away free things like worksheets and games to get us interested in their other products. Again, nothing wrong with that. And they, of course are free to change their mind at anytime.
In this situation, we were lucky to have access to the free version of the products.
I think the lesson here is that if a company offers something free, AND you feel it is valuable to you, then download the whole thing. That way, if they change their mind, you have what you needed before they change their mind.
Is that a free download?i save them, then use a product called cute pdf to combine them into own file.
Is that a free download?
