I made chocolate cupcakes with homemade chocolate icing for my daughter in law's birthday party. The party was today and I had fun and didn't eat a thing. Never knew you could really enjoy a birthday party with just a bottle of water in your hand!

You're not alone in this!! I too have fallen off in a sense. Keep trying..... like someone trying to quit smoking, each attempt brings you one step closer to success.

If you're an emotional eater (I've discovered this past week I am - my downfall isn't sweets, it was that need for salt so out came the potato chips), keep a journal of what you're eating and what the trigger is at the time. Holding yourself accountable in this manner might help you make a conscious choice to choose something different. At the very least, it will help you find patterns and maybe avoid them (?)

I'm not going to weigh in this week because I'm bloated and feeling miserable and it will show on the scale.

I knew losing 6lbs last week was too good to be true! This week I slacked on my eating because my parents are in town and I didnt exercise and I gained back 3 lbs. Oh well! It happens. This week I am not exercising because my muscles are sooooooooo sore from working in the yard on Saturday and my parents are still here. I will keep drinking more water and watch my sugar intake and portion sizes.

Thanks for the encouraging word about Curves. I'm still debating. I guess i should go in and do the consult this week.

I'm concentrating this week on drinking more water and less soda. I do drink Diet, but I drink A LOT OF IT. So...I allowed myself one today, and now I'm drinking seltzer. I think I like the fizz LOL :) Also, had a smoothie for breakfast. A hardboiled & V8 for a snack. I'm going to eat lunch soon, hoping to do a Smart Ones (have a bunch int he freezer). Gonna be good. I have a Girls Night Out tonight! EEEEEK!

I'll keep you posted about Curves. And GO GIRLS.....Way to get back on the wagon!

did my Leslie walk video.. :) I walked 3 miles.. IN MY LIVINGROOM.. Lol!! I had a FRIED egg and one piece of TURKEY bacon with a cup of almond milk for Breakfast.. Fried egg, NOT the healthiest choice.. I thought i should do a poached egg but that was after it was already cooking in the grease... I had a smoothie with greek yogurt YUMMMM for a snack.. Also ate some raw carrots.. I'm stressed today with my son being homeschooled again, but i'm trying real hard not to eat to try and cover up the stress.. But it's been VERY trying today..

I'm hanging right about the same. I plan to start back walking with a few other moms on my girls' swim team, since practices start back this week. We were walking 3 miles several times a week before the 3-week break. I've only had water to drink today!!

Well, i was SUPPOSE to do my walking DVD today, but....

We had water back-up into the basement. We called the plumber, but was told it would probably be two hours, and the water was backing up, and was REALLY going to be a problem. So DH has a shop vac, and it will suck up water. He filled it, and then tried to help Phillip carry it upstairs to dump it in the street. Too heavy!!! So I suggested filling buckets and dumping them.... Carl says he guesses he filled the shop vac with water thirty times. Each time, we emptied it out into the street bucket by bucket. Hand carrying buckets up the stairs and out to the street.... Yeah. I got my workout today without turning on the DVD!!! But we were thankful. The most we had at one time was a circle of about six feet around the drain. Can you imagine how much water there would have been if we didn't have the means of draining it like we did? We would have had several inches in the whole basement! And they were able to get it taken care of easily. Oh, and it wasn't sewer water!!! That's a real blessing!!!

I'm not brave, I just went so long with so many problems and so much pain because I didn't have insurance or couldn't afford to have to work done even with insurance that when the opportunity and money are there, I'm excited to get a tooth to not hurt me anymore ever agian!!!! LOL

Plus everybody has there own thing(s) that bother them. Dental work doesn't bother me...just my wallet LOL Though I will admit, I do flinch when I hear a tooth cracking as it's being pulled, even if it doesn't hurt, the sound...it gets me a little...

    haha pregnancy weight!!!

Ya know, I was talking to my husband the other night, after I weighed for this thread...I really thought in our 10 years of marriage I had put on more weight than I had. I am only a few pounds heavier but man does it sit different after 10 years and 2 babies!!! LOL

Curves....I'm honestly not a fan. Though I have seen people join and lose weight.

My first issue may not be an issue for many, but a gym for women with no daycare?!?!?!? I'd never be able to go...

Second, if that's what it takes to get you moving, then, yes, it's a good thing to join. However, if I'm going to PAY for a gym membership, I'd rather belong to a full gym. Curves to me...seems like an old lady gym. (sorry, no offense meant to anyone) A few machines and pads in a circle and you move when they tell you and you're all looking at each other...it's just not my thing.

When I go to the gym, I want to work on what I want to work on and space out in my own little zone. I want to get on the elliptical trainer, listen to my music and stare at the TV until I'm done-and if that's 10 minutes or an hour, so be it.

Then If I want to work on weight machines, I can do arms one day, legs the next to both or neither. Whatever I want.

I'm easily bored, Josie. I hate doing the same thing over and over again. So switching every few minutes with Curves worked well for me, plus I'd be in and out in just over a half-hour. I think that's why I like the Leslie Sansone DVD. She changes up all the time.

Jackie, I'm the opposite when I work out, I want to zone out, go into my head and exercise without having to think about exercising... does that make sense? LOL I love to hop on the elliptical and just go into my own little world without having to focus on the exercise.

Different strokes for different folks :)

I guess that was what I was thinking....you're supposed to go 3 times a week, right? Thinking that I'd do the Curves 3 days a week, and my Leslie tapes 3 days a week.

I REALLY need accountability when it comes to exercise and losing weight. It's easier than a Weight Watchers meeting for me (no WW locations close, and there's a Curves less than amile from my house....my oldest is even old enough to babysit the younger two, so I could literally do it during the day).

I LIKE the all women thing because, truly, I do not want to look at men while I work out, nor do I want to be looked at. LOL :)

And. Well. I am an old lady, so I'll fit right in! BWAAA HAAA HAAAAAA!!!!!

I'm totally motivated this week. Yesterday I went to Kohl's and tried on a pair of shorts in a size 12, and they fit!! With no muffin top! hehe But then I almost laughed out loud looking at my legs. When did I get a big bulgy lumps behind and on the sides of my knees? What a place to store fat! lol *sigh* I'm glad capris are in style now.....

I haven't worn shorts in.....oh gosh, can't even remember! LOL :) I'm not sure, even if I lose the weight, that I'll be brave enough to wear shorts again!

We were discussing skirts in another thread. I do feel more comfortable in skirts than shorts!

AND I just finished working out! That makes twice in three days (because I AM counting hauling all the water up and down steps Monday!!!)

Well this week I've walked outside and yesterday I fought with our boxer to bath him. I had to pick up a 65 pound dog and put him in the shower, then push him around to reach all the spots to wash and then again to rinse! LOL I totally counted that as a work out because it wore me out worse than the walking I was doing for exercise! LOL

I keep forgetting to weigh when I get up though....
