I have 6 little ones. 8 month old, 12 month old, 2--2yr olds and a 3 yr old and my 4 yr old. There not always here at the same time though. I have the babies down to a pretty good schedule when thier here.
Having the babies on a good schedule is a big help! All of mine range from 2-5 years old, so it's more of a preschool feeling. During the morning, my daughter does a lot of her independent work - write spelling words, silent reading, review work, etc. Than after lunch is the daycare kids "quiet time". Most go down for a nap, while the others watch educational videos, look at books, do puzzles, etc. That's when dd and I hit the more detailed work. We'll get almost all of it done before the "zoo" wakes back up. Anything left is done after supper. It may sound like a long day for her, but keep in mind, she gets a couple of long breaks in there when I can't work with her. Another daycare mom who homeschools uses mostly a computerized curriculum. She mainly just monitors their work and progress. Just another example of a way to make hs work.
I'm a homeschool dad - joined this site a couple weeks ago. I have a website/blog for dads to encourage homeschooling. Check it out and if you think it will help, show it to your husband. See the link in my signature below. Links to starter articles for dads are clearly shown at the top middle of the page. I really hope it helps! You can also contact me through my site if you have more specific questions.
