How are Crystal and the baby and how is Heidi doing? Although I haven't written many e-mail messages, I have been praying!
Deena~ Thanks for your concern. I am doing fine. I had to go back to the doctor today to rule out some things, but all seems to be well. Physically, I am feeling fine; and emotionally, I'm doing surprisingly well too. I appreciate everyone's thoughts and prayers- the ladies here are so wonderful! Crystal is also doing great~ Avarie is just a gorgeous little baby~ and I'm just dying to get my hands on her! (one day very soon, I hope!)
Thanks so much for asking. I am so busy and cant seem to get on here as much as I would like. We are all adjusting well to having a little one in the house. My kids are all great helpers! Avarie is 3 weeks old already!! Dh and I are trying to get some time away and go out to dinner - Avarie will come, as I am her main food source! LOL It is our 5th yr wedding anniversay tomorrow.
This is so interesting. Maybe it doesn't seem so to you Crystal, but to me it only seems a short time ago that you were wishing you could get pregnant, and now here you're holding and loving your new little one already! With us keeping so busy here, it made time seem to go by very quickly!
Dh and I were talking about that too. Time did seem to go fast. Dh had a vasectomy reversal in May 2004 and I found out I was pregnant two days after Christams that same year. We feel very, very blessed. Now the big questions my family has for me - will there be anymore????? LOL
So..... will there be anymore (I just had to ask) Bring the children to me - I'll babysit for you. OH! And happy anniversary!
Hmmm, I honestly dont know. I would love to have more children, I know you all think I am nuts. But I just love it! We will have to wait and see, I might need to hit the lottery! LOL I just dont want to think about being done yet, I might just never really "feel" done. Dh has some say in this too - LOL and he might be done. He is such a sweetie that he says whatever I want. Thanks for the anniversay wishes.
My youngest is 8 now, and I still get those little urges once in awhile! I thought I'd be past that by now, but nooooo! My body doesn't do well with pregnancies though, so I doubt I would ever have another. My sister recently told me we should go on another mission trip to a place that has an orphanage, and adopt one while we're there! Now that's an idea!!!
I am so glad to see you are doing fine. I dont think your nuts for wanting more you are a great mom and you have everyone in order too. You have a plan and it works. They say after adjusting to the 3rd the 4th and so on are easy. I dont know I had to stop at 3. I had not had urges for more i seemed satisfied. However since we moved I would like another. But I just can not.Oh well. I am very glad for you!!!!
I have many a day when I wish I could have another one, but I refused to leave the hospital before I had my tubal... and then a couple years ago I had considered have a reversal... yuh! Like we could afford $3700 for it. I figure in another 10-12 years, I will be a grandmother (it had better be at least that long). We've gotten so the boys are pretty independent, I'd have to start all over again... that would be such a shock to the system. And then on days when they're either EXTREMELY hyper or down right defiant, I praise Him that I can't have any more :wink: No Crystal, I don't think you're crazy for wanting more (or you Jimmie Lu)... I don't know of many ladies who at some point don't long for another one...
I think part of it for me is that Rod (my dh) and I have one birth child. NOT that I dont love ALL my children like I gave birth to them, but I do think I wouldnt have the urge to have more if I had given birth 8 times. Maybe not though! LOL Yes, reversals are expensive. I am not sure if you know or not, but that is how I got pregnant! Rod had a vasectomy reversal this past May. It was a complete God thing that we were able to afford it.
Oh, Crystal! Remember that thread we had on the topic of reversals? We never did have the $ for dh's. But we have since found contentment but the Lord just reminded me the other day of the many hours I spent on my knees begging for a miracle. Not sure what that reminder means, but it will have to be God's hand and not a surgeon's to reverse it!
I said that prayer many times Brooke! I dont remember the thread, but I am sure I must have explained the surgery that my dh needed that we were able to get the reversal at the same time then. That was a God thing!!! Keep praying!
The girls and I went to visit Crystal and her family today. I just wanted to report that Avarie is just a precious little thing! I know you're all jealous that I got to hold her!!! Crystal~ you're precious to me!
:mrgreen: Yes, I sure am!!! But we've little Zoe across the street, who was born in June. Her mom was outside with her in a front carrier today, with their two VERY BIG dogs on leashes. She was waiting for her DH to come out so they could all go for a walk. The larger of the dogs kept jumping up on Rachael, and it really sent Zoe laughing. She was so cute!!! I had something happen recently that made me wonder if I could be on the verge of menopause. Actually, I'm looking forward to it, and no longer having to deal with the monthly alternative. To my surprise, Carl said I was "too young". He says there are days when he wouldn't mind another baby. Not that he's not satisfied with what we have, but... That really suprised me, coming from him!
Ummmmm........Jackie.......haven't you ever heard the tales of those ladies who thought they were starting "the change" only to find out they were pregnant?! Keep us posted!!!
