How is it going, Tiffany?

 

Still nothing! The mail hasn't come today though. I will check as soon as it comes. Dh is at work now and should be able to pick up a check from this company as long as the owners are there they always pay the day of service.

He called Advantage again yesterday and had an attitude with this guy he has been dealing with. Dh said the guy sounds like a decent guy and all but somehting has to be done. He doesn't know if it is a bunch of bs or what. A company that big and that busy should pay the bills! This company is just killing us. If they would pay what is owed everything would be just fine. This one company is able to bring everything to a halt.

On the bright side.........when dh was working late in Sugarland on Wednesday the owner stopped by to talk to him and thanked him for all he does for his company, said keep up the good work and handed him a $100 bill. He told dh not to spend it on himself and to take us out to a nice dinner. So last night we all went out for seafood! We had a nice meal and a great time together. I had just picked the kids up from being gone a week so this was a nice treat. I didn't have a thing to cook for dinner so this dinner anyway. This dinner out was a nice stress releaver too. And we spent the money on what the giver intended it to be used for. What a blessing! I know God will continue to provide for us and I know this situation has to get better.

 

Praise the Lord that is awesome! don't you just love it when God does something unexpected like that?

Is there a way you can talk to someone from their parent company? Or can you get some collection agency or something like that involved? Can you report them to the BBB? That is SOOOO not right for them not to pay you! Can your dh look around for other accounts? I wouldn't want to stick with a company that won't pay up what they owe! I don't see how they can get away with it!

At any rate, you have a great outlook on this, and I TOTALLY agree that satan is attacking you! But God is stronger, ALWAYS, and will come through for you! It may not be in the way you think, so be aware that God is working and be open to what happens!

Tiff, Have faith.
God has a plan.

He knocked my DH on his rear, because he deserved it, (My DH was VERY ungodly and did not believe in God, I found out after the wreck, but First Peter 3 taught me to be the light for his feet and it WORKED!) ......... then placed us in the lifeboat (The house) with a full cargo hold (Our stocked pantry and freezer), then told my DH to finally let go of the past and to have faith....

But the sky was still clear and DH forgot about the whole "Let go of this old life" thing....

So, God made it impossible for him to stay at the job that was tearing him away from God, he would get ill just walking into the building and so DH resigned his position effective august 1st.

We will have $0 income on that day.

In this day and age of stock up and spend nothing, this is a HUGE leap of faith for us. However, all we can think of is what a great house this is for fellowship! This would make a great house for "Home Groups!" And now, DH can go to Alpha and actually finish the course.... he can actually go to church on Sundays and attend the required course to become a full member of the church and get baptized!

We have no clue where we are going.
We just know that we would rather be hungry than not doing what God wants. But he will provide!

We are trying to have the faith of Noah and say, "Ok God. The ship is sound and stocked. Bring on the rain!"

To say I am scared is an understatement, hince the no air conditioning in the day time... but, he has us...

And he has you guys, too!

I could not assume to know what God has planned for you guys but he has you and it will be FABULOUS!!

I am happy for your dinner out with your family! That is a blessing. I am happy you and your dh used the money as the giver intended instead of buying groceries or something. lol. I know I would have been tempted to make that stretch when that was not the point. The point was to give yourselves a break and relieve stress. So, I am happy your family had a nice night out.

I thought of going and buying groceries with that money. I really did. But I surveyed our pantry and we have quite a bit. The only things we really need are lunch meat for sandwiches and maybe some ground beef. We have a bunch of other staples, veggies and canned goods and a whole freezer of venison. I guess I am not that bad off am I? LOL! It has been a long time since we went to eat as a family. And it really was a blessing because we had so much fun together! We all dressed up a bit - us girls in pretty skirts. Then we all had a blast fighting over the last piece of that chocolate chip cookie/ice cream dessert. Forks were flying! It was a good time of family fun. Dh went by that business again yesterday and told the man that gave him the money Thank You for a great time with the family!

Update - Praise!!!

Ladies I had to come here and update. I meant to earlier this week but have been busy with VBS. I am glad I waited because now I have more news.

Monday we received one check of $1600. Of course that had to go right back out for bills. But hey we were so glad to get it. It was from a company called Oldcastle.

So today during VBS a friend with a sick child needed to leave, had a flat and I called Dwayne to come change it for her. While he was changing it he told me we got in a check from Advantage (the one who owe so much) for $3500!!! The first thing out of my mouth was "Praise God"!

This is a HUGE blessing! We are still owed more and from a few different companies but I am not worried anymore.

So we can now begin to pay our savings back. We had spent $3000 out of savings. I am going to the bank to put in a paycheck for us today and that will go right in to savings. His company owes our savings $800 so that can now be paid back as well! I think that only leaves $1000 left for us to pay back.

We leave on vacation on August 23rd and by then everything should be back in order. Also we got the price quote dropped on our floor. I have been saving for two years to redo our floor and my hopes seemed to be dashed but now it looks as if we will be able to get the floor done and go on vacation and still be fine!!!

I just wanted to come here and give all the glory to God!
