Urgent prayers for our finances please!

Ugh! I have hesitated posting this here. I don't like to ask for prayer for things like this but we are suppose to take everythign to God right?

We need to get money in bad. My husband owns his own business and he is not getting paid. Right now we have $15,000 outstanding. We have not been able to pay ourselves since mid June. We are now dipping in our savings to pay for personal and business expenses. That savings is supposed to be for a new kitchen floor (I have been saving two years for this) and our vacation coming up in August as well as my sudden dental bill.

One company owes $8000 alone. My husbands contacts keep calling and begging him to do work for them but he can't. He keeps telling them to call corporate and tell them to send the money owed because he can't work for free. Same thing just happened this morning. He has done hardly any work this month because nobody is paying their bills.

I thank the Lord he has provided for us this savings account because if we didn't have it I honestly dont know what we'd be doing now. I don't want to depleat it to nothing. I know as soon as the money that is owed to us comes in we will replace the savings but it is so hard right now. I am trying to stay focused and know God is going to provide and these people are going to pay. We need to pay our bills! I just want to ask if you'd pray for our financial situation and that our customers will just pay the past due bills.

 

Yes, take everything to God! This is not a small thing!

I am sorry things aren't going well right now! I will pray that those companies pay their bills soon so that you guys can replenish your savings and not have to worry from day to day! I think your husband is absolutely right NOT to do more work for that company when they have an outstanding bill!

I just prayed that God will impress them to pay, and I will continue to pray!

Of course we will pray for you! Of course you need to take this to God. This is no small matter to God! All trials and victories come from above...so if God is allowing this it is important to him. That alone is an encouraging thought....God is allowing this for a time. I will pray that God's will is done in your life and that your savings will not be depleted. I am so happy you have a savings to help you out in this time of need....yet it does sadden me that you have to use it. keep you eyes open and you will see God work in ways you never would have any other way and in that alone you will thankful for this trial and able to give the glory to God.

 

I will definitely be praying for you and your family! Remeber that we can cast EVERY care on the Lord because He cares about EVERYTHING that we care about and even the stuff that wwe don't have sense enough to care about! We have the awesome opportunity to ask the Creator of the universe to intervene on our behalf. We can talk to Him anytime, anywhere about ANYTHING! He is so increadibly faithful. I am a living witness that He will supply all of our needs according to His riches in glory!! Life is tough, but God is GOOD!!

Tiffany, I am sorry to read this. How frustrating! I agree, this isn't a small thing. I am praying!

On a side note. I am praying for the other requests too. I haven't posted a lot because my family is visiting from Arizona. So I pop on and off. So you all know, I am lifting all the requests up.

 

I will pray that God will remind them everywhere they turn of thier outstanding bills. If the company wants more work they have to pay, so as the people put in for wanting the work that should remind them but I will pray that it will be highlighted in everyway that this company will not only come through with the 8 grand but even more as a bonus to keep your business!

Times seem to be tough financially in a lot of places. I pray that you'll see God's provision real soon.

We have still not recieved a thing. :cry:

I know we will be getting a check on Friday. He will be working at a pest control company very early in the morning and they pay as soon as he is done and submits the invoices. So I know we'll have something then. We also may be able to pick up a check on Thursday from another company. This company always pays on time and this month they are late. So dh called yesterday and the moron who he dealt with never turned in the invoices!:shock: This fool has been carrying them around since the work was done on June 10th! The accountant had to go track him down and get them. This is just so frustrating! The big main one though is Advantage Rent A Car - they are the ones my husband does so much work for and they owe us so much money! This is the company he won't go back to until payment is caught up. This is also the reason he has barely worked this month.

I am trying so hard to be faithful through this. We sat outside and talked last night and he brought up the money situation again. I told him I'd prefer not to even discuss it because it is what it is and rehashing it will only stress us both out and stress ain't gonna pay the bills. We just have to have faith that God will see us through this time just like he has every time before.

Which brings me to another point.........

I have begun to believe that this is the devil in action. Y'all don't know because i haven't discussed it here but I have been feeling this tug on my heart to change some things in my life. Nothing bad or major just little changes here and there that will overall make a big difference in the time and honor I give to God. I need to do this. And ya know what? The devil knows that and I truly believe that he is trying to throw these things at me and my family to make me loose focus on what I am so desperatley trying to focus on. But it's not going to happen. I'm not going to let it happen.

And so as much financial stress as we are going through at this moment I praise HIS holy name for allowing us to have this savings account to fall back on and I know He is going to pull us through this in His time and all will be well. I would ask that you continue to pray for us during this. Pray for our finances but also for our faith that this too shall pass.

 

I am so sorry for what you are going through. I will continue to pray for God's will in your life and that His purposes will be fulfilled through this trial.

I think you are wise to see beyond your circumstances and to try and figure out the why on a spiritual level. I also think you are wise to keep your focus on the proper things. See, you already can claim some victory.

I know how hard financial trouble is...believe me! LOL. Financial trials are always scary and disheartening. They also make you feel like you have failed in life. They can wear down on you and erode at your faith. However, God shows Himself so fully during those times we just breakdown and allow Him to finally lead. I have had the privlege of seeing God work during the darkest financial times of my life.

 

If I could have said it like this, Ava Rose, I would have! Yes, Tiffany, you are wise in looking beyond the situation that you see. We trust that both you and your husband will emerge victorious and strengthened in your faith from this trial.

( BTW, Ava Rose, I just read on another thread that your roof is repaired! Wow! Praise God! That's a faith-builder!)

 

The devil is having a field day with us. Once again nothing has come in the mail. We are getting down to the wire here.

 

That is usually when God comes through with me.. keep trusting Him to come through!

 

Down to the wire! I've been there.

Let me tell you something....once when going through a similar circumstance...you may remember...when my dh got promoted but the checks got all messed up and he wasn't paid for over a month??? We were down to the wire...I was getting very nervous. Well, I got a call saying I had gift certificates waiting for me at this grocery store. I also was gifted with money from a few others. I tried not to tell anyone of what was going on because I knew money was coming so I didn't want to complain. Yet, we were not doing well. Anyway....we were finally told the money was coming. I almost felt bad because if the money was coming in a few days I was given more money than I needed for groceries. Well...the money promised did not arrive. The figure I had to work with was within pennies of what I needed to spend to get through the last week with groceries! I was floored!

Sometimes it is "down to the wire" when God shows Himself so you KNOW it was Him.

OH!!!! And because my dh got one huge paycheck to make up for the time without pay....the way it was calulated for bonus time was on income. Well, we just found out that this little glitch will actually make my dh look like he earned more money and his bonus check will be bigger. LOL. Just when we need it again! LOL.

 

I got chills when I read the part in bold. Wow.

Ava I do remember when that happened to you guys and how God pulled you all through. My prayers are that He will do the same for us. Dh was sitting here this morning at the computer with bills and I could feel the stress he is feeling. So I prayed for him.
