walmart laminator i know this is like 2 yrs later from the last post about laminators, but i just joined and i was wondering what was the brand name of laminator at Walmart you all are talking about. is it hot laminator? i was looking into Purple Cows laminator which i found for 49.99 somewhre and wonder if any of you had any experience with this product? thanks so much Jenn D.
i thought i had posted this but i guess i did somthing wrong. anyway, jsut wanted to thank you all for the info on the laminators. i bought the Scotchguard tl910 at walmart today. it was $24.88 in the office supplies, paper , folders, etc section. i had trouble finding it on line and had to physically go to Walmart to see if they had it. the cheapest i could find on the internet was about $43 with shipping. isn't that crazy. thank you so much!! i am excited to start using my laminator:lol: JennD
I have a laminating machine and love it. I got mine used from a lady on the wtm board that was selling all due to her youngest graduated. I laminate everything! I buy those 3m pack at walmart when I cannot get the other ones. Due to price. The walmart ones are alright, but the ones that you get from the companies are better. I have a ibico, it is really nice. I can pick what temp, if it is just laminating or foil packs. It heats up in like 30 seconds or less, then cools down just as fast. I highly recommend getting a laminating machine they are the best! Here is the one I have it is great!
I get my laminating pocket things from a guy on eBay since we use them for our business as well (make up TONS of signs for everything)... I got a CHEAP laminator used for like $5 or it might have been on freecycle. Sat around forever and now I don't know what I did before this thing arrived! My favorite thing to do is laminate graph paper for the kids to do math work on. It sure helps with lining up numbers when they start to lose track!
I laminate more for the younger kids than I do for Garrett. It makes great reusable worksheets and more sturdy manipulatives and flash cards.
I don't have the machine but maybe I should look in on it. I usually just buy the self sealing laminating paper and do it that way. You get 10 pouches for 10 dollars, maybe I need to check in the other way to see if it's cheaper.
