We usually have a homeschool party that day. At home they get some kind of present too.

As you cook a meal and some of your family doesn't eat part of it, do you cook a seperate thing for that one person?

    No, no soda.

I know people asked this sometime, but I forget....

How long have you been married? (In March it will be 18 years for my dh and me!)

Not much usually, but a couple of years ago we went to a place called Ocean Shores, which is on the Pacific Ocean. It was a rare calm weekend, the lady said. Usually in March it is very windy, often rainy, and just plain yucky weather. But it was a cute little place, and we were able to walk on the beach and stuff. I loved it! Maybe on our 20th we'll go somewhere and do something really special!

What do you do for YOUR Anniversary?

Yes, I read to my kids at night. They love it and I do too.

Scott and I always to some type of trip for our anniversary with our kids in tow. This year will be 20 years for us.

Do you do any unit or project in school every year? Example like dental care and visit a dentist office or a school play.

15 years, we usually go out and have dinner and come home. The kids go to grandmas/ grandpas for the night.

No I don't read any more to the kids they are to old for that. We each take several verses of the Bible and read it at nightly devotions.

Yes we try to do every subject. Our school week is from Monday to Thursday. We volunteer at the nursing home on Fridays. My dd is trying to get 40 hours of community service this year. The hours will go toward a scholarship. She needs 1,000 hours before she graduates.

    Do you volunteer?

Spanish class! I wish we had one, but we don't. :(

Vicky, Does your dd have some forms she fills out for her community service, or what? And how many hours do you count for each thing---the exact amount of time you spend? We volunteer quite a bit, and it would be nice if we had some way of keeping track of it! What kind of scholarship thing is it?

Do you and your dh have a "night out" each week?

Most every day I do a load or two. Sometimes Sundays too.

Do you seem to buy the same things for meals at the store each week?
I would love to think up some new things to eat but it seems about every 9 days we eat the same things.

I usually will buy the same things for about a couple months, then go through cookbooks to find new things when we are sick of them. I also go shopping for two weeks at a time (saves time) and go to the store for small things here and there in between. Makes it easier to plan different meals.

By the way, I can NOT and WILL NOT go in public when I don't at least have mascara and eyeliner on, and any blemishes I have need to be covered. When I "go out" I usually also put eyeshadow on and lipgloss/lipstick.

What was the last movie you saw and how was it?

    Charlie and the chocolate factory.
I am a Ronald Dahl fan. It was an ok movie, but they did change it up a little. Some good some bad. They portrayed Willie as a bit psychotic. The ending was an interesting twist.Willie made the offer for charlie to come live in the chocolate factory but he had to leave his family. He declined the offer because He held great value to his family.Willie did give Charlie the chocolate factory but Charlie took it only after Willie joined his family. This is a PG13 movie and not suitable for young children. It is a shame that they took a childrens classic and made it a PG13 .It did portray an empoverished family that did better for themselves on their own.All in all it was a good movie,
What was your favorite cartoon growing up.

Bugs Bunny hands down. I lived for Saturday mornings and bugs. We cleaned on Saturday mornings so I would dust the living room every Saturday morning so I could be sure to get to watch it.

What hobby did you have as a child?
