On a normal basis we go to bed around 10ish or maybe a little later. Sometimes if everyone is really tired we go at 9ish. If hubby is on 3rd I stay up and do laundry and housework and may be up until 12ish or later. What was your favorite thing to do as a child with your father? Mine is silly but on Sunday afternoons (when gas was affordable) we would go and get an ice cream and drive in the country. I would tell him a different roads to go left or right and after an hour or so he would take us back home. I thought we were lost everytime but we got home safe enough. That was exciting to a child.
mine was working on the farm with my dad. Do you buy all your books or do you try and use the library as much as you can?
I usually buy them - I don't always remember to bring them back on time so I end up with a penalty How do you serve in your church (or for those who don't go to church - your community)? Sort of, I'm certainly not a "big shopper" like some of my friends. I can only handle shopping for so long, then I want to just be done and go. Sometimes I'm in the middle of shopping when that feeling hits me. It makes the rest of the shopping trip harder to handle! So, what's with that?! Have you ever written and song or a poem that others really enjoyed?
No not really. I had to write some poems in school to graduate but only wrote them for that reason. I actually checked some books out yesterday from the library of poems to work with the kids on. How do you teach poetry to your kids? Any ideas?
