Late August this year. Somewhere around the 24th. Exact day will be decided once my dil lets me know when she goes back to school. She is a teacher's aide.
We are always learning here, but for our filing with the state requirements, we start counting days the 2nd week of July
We line up our year with the PS here which is Aug-May So we're starting the 2nd-PS starts the 6th.... We'll prob finish our 180 first though as Saturday field trips count as a day for us
We have to count hours and I'm counting educational things we've done this summer. For our "official" first day of school, we're starting on Aug. 23. The local public schools start on Wednesday, Aug. 25th so we're starting the same week.
This week we started in on our new math. I also have been doing Health with my two younger ones this summer. I would like to start Full time Mid August. I told the kids if we go full time at the 1st of August we can take May off and enjoy the weather But they are not going for that. The schools here start the 23rd. I would like to start a week before. But we shall see.
I believe Aug. 23 this year. We start the day my dh has to report back (which is actually two days before the students).
There are a few schools in my area starting as early as Aug 6th. I have not set a date yet. However, I am starting to do some review and gearing up for the year next week. Nothing heavy...or too long. I will start before Sept. though...possibly the middle of August.
We will be starting August 30th. A week after the local school system does. We pray we are moving that week before, if not earlier but that will depend on funding.
We're with a charter and officially start Aug 23rd, but my plan each year is to take off the whole month of July for planning and begin about the first or second week of August.
We always start full swing the week after "Grandma & Grandpa Camp" (my folks have all the grandkids over for a few days and do fun stuff with them). Waiting on final word on when that is this year, I'm hoping it's mid August so we can start by August 23rd. We go on vacation Sept 11-18 so I want to get a few weeks under our belt before we go, that way we can still get SOME school done while on vacation, but we're on autopilot. My kids will start their Teaching Textbooks as soon as it's installed (probably this weekend). And they've been reading all summer.
We are starting the second week of September. We are moving Sept 1st so we need to get settled in our new home before starting.
