YAY! They let Matthew have regular food today and this evening they let him come home! One of our twins and I went to pick them up and we got them home before 9pm. He was so glad to be home and Austin looked very happy to see them both. My son is home! Praise God!
Lindina, He didn't get to try a sub yet, but he is eating some and feeling much better just being home. He is sleeping right now and is supposed to call me later. We are all so happy to have him out of the hospital!
It is 3am and we are waiting on an ambulance to take Matthew back to Baptist hospital and then we will be on our way there with his wife. He is not doing well. The local hospital has called Baptist and talked to the surgeon and he wants him there as soon as they can get the ambulance here. Please cover him with your prayers. I am scared, but I know God, who loved Matthew before I ever held him, is in control. Beth
I am so sorry that I didn't get back sooner. Matthew is home and doing fairly well right now. He is sore and still healing from surgery but so far no more pain and vomiting like Sunday morning. The doctors never figured out for sure why that happened! They could have gone back in but didn't want to jump the gun and operate again if they didn't need to. Matthew said he didn't want them to anyway. After many hours he started feeling better and things have been looking up since then. It was a scary time and I am still not sure why it happened but I suspect he ate something that caused a blockage for a while. Just my opinion but it has happened before.
