Please, please, please pray for us. Hubby's unemployment ran out. He got $58 this week and that's that.... My parents have been paying a lot of our bills, but now, with NO income, they will be having to support 2 households 100%. Plus helping out my brother (who has work until next week then he'll be without income as well....) We've cut out or cut down almost everything we can already. The only thing more we could cut would be internet and TV-but since we use both for school (in lieu of formal curriculum for each subject) and internet for job hunting-the gas it would take to get to the library to use their internet just isn't worth the $35/mo we pay to have internet and netflix at home.... I'm trying to come up with ideas for making a little extra money, but not a lot of options in such a small town.... Maybe hubby could cut up, split and sell some firewood, but it's not going to make us a killing....If I had the start up money I could do graphic design again, though in this economy, I'm not sure how much I'd actually make now....I have some baby clothes I could take to the flea market and sale-but that's just a one time thing, not consistent income.... Just please pray for him to find a job soon.
Oh, honey, I am so sorry. My husband was out of work for part of this year. Thankfully, he found a job, but we had NO income at all while he was out because they deined his unemployment (long long story!) Keep trying, and keep your head up. I know how hard it can be!!!

Why would you need start up money to do graphics design? You can find graphics jobs on sites like elance.com or scriptlance.com ... If you need graphics software, there's free software out there... Gimp is one. Plus, you're a fabulous writer! Look for freelance writing jobs. My husband and I make our living off the internet. If you have questions, just let me know!
Thank you all-it's just extremely frustrating, knowing my hubby is very good at what he does, and is a good, hard, dependable worker, too. Plus, he feels bad about himself because he isn't providing for his family.... Thank you, I needed to hear that verse.

We are looking at being in the same situation. We are moving 600 miles in February and have not been able to find any jobs. Each day that goes by I start to panic a little more. You are blessed to have your family that can help you in the interim. We do not have any family that can help out, they are all in similar situations too. I will keep your family in my prayers.
I've never heard of those sites, I'll check them out. I've only sold off my own site and some on Etsy (Jewelry was so over saturated My Jewelry shop sold more Graphics than jewelry! LOL) I have software-for now-I lost my photoshop disc when we moved! So if my computer ever crashes I won't have any LOL Thank you for the compliment. I may PM you next week sometime for details!
