It is hard to let them go! There is the one side of me that is so selfish. I want to keep him home. The other side knows its my job to push him gently out the door toward adult hood.

I was just thinking about all the parents I've known for years on here who now are hs'ing high schoolers. I wonder what our graduation rate is at the Spot compared to families that aren't plugged in to a support network like this. I know I would not have made it this far in such good spirits if it hadn't been for all of you!!!

Okay, that's it - I'm tuning out now, lalalalalalala....... no more talk of the end being near. My kids are not aloud to leave, they are still little and aren't aloud to grow up! :)

yeah, I think its cool , we are definately a good group of support team here. I would not have made it to Sr year for dd and then now two in College had I not found this spot. It made life so much easier for me.
Now ds is in highschool level and I feel like my life is nearly over LOL! (just curious how many of you feel like 'is there life after home school?' I think I will write a book on it! HAHA)

My dd is the opposite. She can't wait to get on with life. In fact, she and her two BFF are talking about getting an apartment together and the details, like what their furniture will be like, and how much money they'll have to earn to afford everything they want.

I'm enjoying listening to them dream! They're growing up too fast!

Hi! PM me if you like. I have a son, 16, who is technically supposed to be 11th this year. I was for the last 9 years thinking I'd let him graduate early (which would be this year) but his friends have all graduated so I'm making him go the next 2 years as he would have if he'd been in public school. We're taking the time to really concentrate on his music, which is what he wants to major in.
My daughter, 14, is in 9th.
We've been homeschooling the whole way!
