If we ever get to Alaska I'll try to post something. Right now it is seeming like forever. Now that I have a little time I'll let ya all know about our trip. Ten minutes after leaving the campgrounds on the freeway, everyone driving 70 a truck in front of us slammed on his brakes because of a car almost stopped about a 20 yards ahead. Well my husband slammed the brakes, it tossed us around some. We were in the furthest lane to the right - no more right to go and a car on the left side. Well my dh started going to the left (we don't know what happened to the car to the left of us) meanwhile he is still trying to stop and we ended up barely getting into the other lane just about taking out the two vehicles in front of us and went by doing 55mph  !!!! We definately knew that God carried us through that. Thank you all for your prayers. Well through it all (3 blow outs and 6%,8% grades) we realized we need a bigger truck. So we now have ours listed for sale all over because we must have a bigger truck to get to Alaska. I'm just thankful that God never leaves us because we definately need him. Thanks all! We are temporarily at some friends house in Grass Valley Oregon until my dh accepts a job. Then it's stationary for 4 weeks and then Alaskan bound. My dh is a lineman and it's union so we just go to the next union hall and take a job. Hopefully next week the right one comes along.
Wow Lee what fun travels! I will be praying for a job for your hubby fast too! And for Traveling Mercies to Alaska... when you go up there which Highway will you take?
Wow! Another testimony of God's keeping power! You could have rammed into that car on the left. I hope you're having a great time with your friends, and I pray that you get your truck sold and that you find a perfect one for yourselves.
God is so good I am happy to hear that all is well. Will continue to pray as you make your way to Alaska - in the mean time, praying your dh will find a job.
