Another good cleaning idea is to wash your shower curtain in the washing machine. Add two or three heavy bath towels and put 1/2 cup vingear in the water wash the curtain but don't let it go through the last spin cycle. Take the curtain out and let the towels ring out. Hang the curtain back up and let it drip dry in bathtub all wrinkles come out wonderful smell and looks great. Takes all the soap and everything off the curtain. Then re wash the towels.
My mother in law is a Meleluca addict. I have used a few of their products. I love their hand soap!!!

White vinegar, and you should use half a cup to a gallon of water. You can also use vinegar on your shower glass in the same way to get rid of water spots. Gosh you got my thinking head on now, i swear there is a load more lol
You can also put your shower curtain in the dryer(especially a new one) if you need to get the wrinkles out - hang it up while it's hot. Watch it... just til it's warm! I have started a major purge against the clutter! Do I really need all this stuff? Anybody else have trouble getting rid of books? My PROBLEM is books. I love books! But I run out of sensible space for them! Sabrina
Lol i seem to collect books, i really need to go through them, but each time i do, maybe my youngest can use this and sadly i keep adding to them. My hubbies dd also HS her two boys, and she passes on all her books, and i take them. They are slowly taking over the house
plastic liner Are you talking about washing the plastic liner curtain in the shower or the nice other curtain?
The plastic one if it is worth keeping. Ours gets really dirty on the bottom before I am ready to replace it. I wash it normal and then put it in the dryer for about 2-3 minutes and hang it up warm. The wrinkles will hang out naturally as it cools. Sabrina
I do that too regularly and it works great. I even put in about a cup of bleach too and it gets any stains out as well.

Re: coke Did it work for you? I tried that once a while back and it didn't do a thing. So much for that cleaner. LOL GLenda
Ok, I clearly have reading problems. I read "dishwater elephant" and wondered what on EARTH that was. My eyes need cleanin'. LOL Glenda
Did someone say packrat? >lifts a pointy nose into the air and sniffs, shakes to try and get the dust off her whiskers< Ratty at your service ma'am, just let me climb over all this here stuff first.... Glenda
Hmmmmm....dishwasher elephants....I can definitely see the benefits of the super capacity, not to mention the innovative pressure washing adjustable trunk feature.....
ROFL Ok, that made me laugh and I needed that badly right now. Thanks! I think a super sized dishwasher in the shape of an elephant would be FUN! Might even make kids want to use it. <g> Glenda
Hey Brooke and Glenda, You two should patent that and get going on the prototype! Will your good friends here on Homeschool Spot get a discount when we buy one?!
Forget the kids....something like that would get ME to do the dishes! And Glenda, you can have the patent! After trying to help my dad do some patent research for an invention of his, I want NOTHING to do with that process EVER again!!!
I have another problem I can't figure out: We have a refrigerator that has a thing where you stick your cup in to get water or ice. Well, the water is staining the little drain area, no matter how much I scrub it, and it looks like it's dirty (yellowish stain)! YUCK! I've used SOS pads, dishsoap and scratchy sponge, Comet....none of those work. Do you think Barkeepers Friend would work on somthing like that? Brooke, you're right--less is more! Clutter is stressful! Now, if I could only figure out how to really get rid of/organize all mine I'd be in much better shape!!! I need to simplify, simplify, simplify!
Okay, I don't know whether to put this here or in the "you know you're a hs addict when..." thread! I was taking a shower today and got to thinking about this thread! I haven't gone back and re-read the posts, but wanted to add that you can also put your shower mat in the washer with the shower curtain and a white towel or two + bleach and detergent and it cleans the rubber shower mat wonderfully, too! That's how I keep that yucky mold from growing on ours when it's humid. I've always got big plans to work on my "stacks" of clutter... ...it's so hard for me to work on that when I've got a ton of other things that need my attention. At least I'm keeping the clutter at bay by not adding to it (much!). Junk mail gets dealt with immediately, and I really am trying not to keep every letter, brochure, memento, etc. It's in my genes, I'm from a family of packrats....    :? Blessings,
