Hi, I've been lurking for a little while because my 3 kids are all still enrolled in an independent school. However, as of this coming Tuesday, my oldest son (12 years old) will begin being home educated! He is soooo excited, and so am I! Now I have to work on withdrawing my other two (7 and 10). They are more resistant because they love their school. I may wait until the end of this school year and then begin their transition for the 2011-2012 school year.

We started homeschooling our son this year with every intention of leaving our daughter in ps for the rest of the year because she made the cheer squad and was doing fine in school. It was only 2 weeks later before we all knew she should be home too. We were blessed to find a homeschool cheer leading squad nearby that has been active for 9 years.
