If this was already a thread...I tried to look...then forgive me.

I was wondering who saw it and some thoughts on it. If you are not familiar it is a 33 minute film by Living Waters about preventing abortion. www.180movie.com...I believe is the link.

Interesting. Glad to think there are such films with an ethical dimension being made. (So many don't have it.)

WOW! Thank you so much for sharing this. If our young people were required to see this, imagine how different our world could be.

I've been hearing about this short movie and have been wanting to check it out... but we pay for every bit of internet we use (live out too far for the reasonable options; we use a package from Verizon Wireless via mifi, anyway...). I'll have to get out to the coffee shop or Panera Bread in town and watch it there. Really interested in checking it out!

excellent! very moving video. I'm concerned though, about the lack of thought these people had given the issue. Most obviously had no strong feelings or thoughts about the holocaust, prenatal development,or anything important. Are we as a society just raising up a generation of non-thinkers? Is there no such thing anymore as deep discussion in the home or in a social situation? These people break my heart, that they spend their entire lives so shallowly. It also terrifies me that people like this vote. I'll be recommending this video.

Case in point as to raising a generation of non-thinkers: My mom teaches 3rd and 4th grade science. They do several vocabulary activities through the week, use the terms during labs, etc. Those kids know the vocabulary UNTIL they have an open ended question test put in front of them. They cannot answer questions that are not multiple choice or fill in the bubble. This tells me that the kids of today are definitely being taught how to test and little to nothing else:( Such a sad thing to realize!!

Here is a good neutral article about the video that someone shared with me. It points out it's flaws but also it's strong points. I thought it was good.

    http://thegospelcoalition.org/blogs/justintaylor/2011/09/30/ray-comforts-180-film-on-abortion/

I have met a few people who have not liked it, but FWIW, so far those people have all been pro-choice. I personally wasn't sure what to make of it when I first watched it, but then after much thinking on my part, I slowly became a fan for a few reasons.

Although some might think the Holocaust connection may be kind of weird, I don't. The pictures of the dead bodies in a pile are horrific, but then I got to thinking that if we took all the precious innocent bodies that have been aborted throughout the years, that picture would look very similar and just as horrific...which is what the video is getting at, I believe.

When I worked at the local hospital in the laboratory, I had to take care of a few aborted babies. I wasn't 'suppose' to, but the remains would often come my way when people didn't know where to take them. I never knew what it was until I read the sheet explaining what it was. Each time, it took all I had to not cry right there as I was holding a lifeless child in my hands...a life whose heart DID beat at one time. It's really hard to be forgiving to the person who chose to do that to their unborn child.

I think this video, although it does have a few flaws, does a good job at making people feel uncomfortable...and, IMO, when people are made to feel uncomfortable, sometimes it means they're being convicted.
    :)

Thanks for sharing this! I do agree that there is a holocaust happening today. It is horrifying how little the people in the film knew of history, and how little they had considered the ethical/moral issues of abortion. My one complaint about the film is that he automatically concludes that adoption is the way to go. I would love to see the end of abortion, but that doesn't mean that all of those children who weren't planned would need to be placed for adoption. Many of those parents could rise to the occasion and care for their children, if not, then adoption is an option.
