Any of you gals use 1800petmeds? I am thinking of getting some things for my cats from them and just want to know what others people's experiences have been and how the products are.

I tried to purchase some of the meds my dogs use but they were only available by prescription or if I had a vet license. I am not sure if I would have to take the dogs to the vet first or what I would need to do.

You actually would need a vet's RX to order any items that require a RX. I looked at their prices and they are much cheaper through my vet.

I personally do not like them. I've ordered from them in the past and found their customer service to be lacking and their prices aren't really that great. If you are looking to do mail order for your pets I would look into Drs. Foster and Smith, they have a fantastic catalog, great customer service, their products are far superior to anything I have found in stores or elsewhere online, and their prices are reasonable. I order my cats vaccinations from them every year, and I find it much cheaper than taking them to a vet. I also feed my cats their cat food it's the only one that doesn't upset the tummy of our young one and it lasts a good long time because there are less fillers in it so the cats are getting full nutrition in less food.

That isnt bad, 1/2 per day for two cats. My kittens are on an RX Science Diet Z/D Low-Allergen formula which requires an RX. We adopted them and they've had issues from day and the RX seems to be helping. This is quite expensive, $60.00 for 10 lbs.

glad I don't have your cats...I remember having the prescription dog food for my little schnauzer....it was like 45.00 for 10lbs back then....but I found that giving her fosters and smith food was cheaper and worked just as well. Her issue was high cholesterol though.

When we adopted our kittens they had loose stools. The shelter attributed it to their food changing at the shelter. Ivan the oldest still has stool issues and it is IBD, Irritable Bowel Disorder. This food seems like the only thing that has semi-helped. Kodie had the same but his stools are improving on this food. The dr also said he has allergies so this food will help. I wish we could try something cheaper but the vet said at this point things will get really bad if we try to change them.
