Yesterday was my oldest 4 kids 1st day of ps school. I have to admit I am having serious withdrawls of not having them home with me. Mostly it's that I feel like I am supposed to be getting lessons together and teaching them stuff. Instead I am playing with my 2yo and my 9mo. I am having so much fun with the youngest 2, but when the lo goes down for a nap and it's just me and my 2yo I get bored! I mean we play games and I am working with her on colors and shapes but there is only so much you can do. on the plus side I didn't think my house could ever get this clean! As for my oldest 4....they LOVE school! Which I am thrilled about! My oldest has the same teacher he had when we put him in last year for the last quarter. His teacher is wonderful...in fact so far I really like and am impressed with all their teachers! I just hope they continue to love school. They know they can always be homeschooled again which they said they like knowing they have the option. Homework starts tonight...we will see if they still like school after that!
I am so happy your kids are adjusting well. I also sympathize with you about the boredom. I know that I was really bored when my two were in school too. Hang in there it will get better as you find your way.
