I was wondering in anyone out there have used the DVD for Homschool from A Beka. We are thinking about them for our oldest daughter but not until she starts 9th grade and that is in 2 years. We are praying about alot of things here. Daughter would like to became a nurse and I'm not sure if I can give her everything she needs for that and we really don't want to send her back to public school, so we were looking into the DVD's , they seem really nice but would like some to hear from someone that used them. Thanks for any imput.

Yes we use them. My dc really enjoy them, ds10 and dd soon to be 13 (5th &7th grade). I started my dd on them in 5th so it would free up some time to spend on reading with my ds. This is my first year for my ds on the dvd and he really enjoys it. It is very demanding but you just adjust it to how it works for you. My dd also says she would like to be a nurse, veterinarian or chef. I'm hoping something in the medical field, but not trying to push. One of the downfalls is that it is very expensive, especially if you have more than one child on it. Others have stated that they dislike the fact that you are putting your child in front of a tv. Myself I am seeing the benefits from it and am very pleased. If you have any questions you can pm me. Good luck on choosing your curriculum!

I know a lady that uses them. She loves them the only thing she says is they are very demanding and take longer then she likes sometimes so she skips alot of dvd part if they can.
