Advice on Homeschooling in Iowa or California

    Not that the homeschool laws have any effects on where we will end up, :lol:

    We move a lot with our company, and it seems we may end up in one of these states next. My boys have never been to public school. They have tested with the state in the past- this will be the fourth state we live in :oops:

    Just trying to get a feel for it before we jump in. Thanks in advance :)

    California is a very easy state to homeschool in. We have virtually unlimited freedom. No state testing or sending in portfolios. We teach in the required subjects and then some. There are no hours or days to keep track of, although we do, just for personal preference. We just fill out the affidavit once a year in Oct which takes about 10 min . Other than that, we are completely independent homeschooling . We can teach when, what, and however we choose. It's wonderful.
