Sometimes it seems that I am doing the same thing every single day. But, I have to remind myself that little things do add up to big things. What do you feel you will miss about Homeschooling after the kids have graduated ... ? :(

After they graduate from highschool I am hoping they plan on going two more years at a local college so they will still be at home. I wont be like my parents and try to throw them out of the house as soon as they turn 18yr.

There are some kids in our Co-op that are already 18yr but still take classes with us. We are fine with that they are great kids and sometimes they teach the younger ones.

Anyways back to the topic I guess I will stay busy with our farm, maybe pick up on my hobbys more, write more, maybe even go back to the library to volunteer or work part time. I would love to be able to volunteer more I love helping people.

If the economy ever gets back up and going hopefully our retirement fund will let us retire early and do a bit of traveling not much though, we did that in the military I am still tired of that hehe

I will miss how close we are. I love the way the girls have bonded and I hope that never changes. It will be strange to have an empty nest someday because we have had kids here for over 35 years. I would like to spend more time with Freddy, work more at our church, and maybe finish some of my many sewing/quilting projects. But I am in no hurry!

I hoping the same as most....that they will stay local for college, or live at home while attending - we, thankfully, have several colleges in a 15-20 mile radius that this is actually a possibility.

I'm going to miss being in control of what they are exposed to, mostly! LOL :D Control freak that I am.

I am praying that if we have the ability to homeschool through to college that their hearts, minds, and worldview will be one that college will not change who they are in the core of their being and they will remember their roots and be grounded.

I'll miss my 8 year old who begs to play games with me. :(

Not looking forward to them growing up and moving out at all. What will my life be without all the functions I serve as mom and teacher? Guess I'll need to do daycare or something to fill the void! LOL :D

My dh and I plan to travel alot more. I will be able to do some things, like long walks while he is at work, and not be rushing to get back and return to school. We have also been thinking and praying about becoming missionaries after the kids are gone.

My sister and her husband talked about becoming truckers once the kids moved out. Then they turned around and adopted a precious baby recently. So I tease her that they have another 18 years before they hit the road.LOL

    Thanks for the feed back.

I will Miss them for sure. After ... I guess I will engage in a hobby like most of you stated, already.

As I look at my kids' age in terms of Christmases, I realize there are very few Christmases left for that stage. Scary, for me. I want to hold them more...

    Where has the time gone?

I will miss mine a lot...and I need to have them ready to go at or around 18 because of how we make financial arrangements for their college.. We bought into college funds for them, not knowing we'd be living in several different states. Anyway, the way it looks right now, if the boys decide to take advantage of the college funds, they'll be going to college in at least two different states...and you can only really live in one place at a time, so DH and I will have to figure that out:(

Besides, DH is set that in the next 5-10 years we'll be starting our own business...I imagine that will keep us very busy. But not too busy to miss my boys. So I'm going to enjoy my times wiht them now.

I will miss a lot of different things. We won't have 4-H anymore...... that will be odd (maybe we are looking at adopting so we can do it forever - LOL)...

I will miss the spontaneous goof off time I think. Just letting them be kids. I feel society wants them to grow up SOOO fast!! Oh and moments like my daughter running out here showing me the note written to "her" by Mary Pope Osmund in her new Magic Tree House book and wasn't it nice of her to write her a note :)

I hope to travel but we shall see.

    Me too.

They do grow up so fast... It seems just the other day I was barely walking home from the hospital with them...

    I will tell you what I will not miss first;
The piles of extra papers, notebooks and such laying around my house...
The complaints about too much work, too much writing and too little game time...

But I will miss getting up and planning my day of schooling along with everything else...

    - hearing, seeing and knowing its true when my child says "Oh! I get it!"
    - Listening to Oral reports of a book that was so exciting or so boring.
-being able to say lets go on a feild trip and then go to a movie wiht the kids for one!
    - being a mom! Because by the time my kids go out they will be grown and ready to be adults and wont need Mommy so much.
    - the days when we go to a park to do school work and play sports together.
    ( today haha)
    - being able to listen as they share how exciting a portion of history is.
There are too many things to write down. Spending time with my kids will be highest on my list I am sure.
