I was planning on being done with 1/2 of the year at the end of July, then we were going on vacation for 2 weeks. But I went through what we have left today, and I think we will finish next Friday! That will give us two weeks off before vacation, and an extra week after we get back! We have one and half weeks of MOH left, and my dd has 3 days of math left. Grammar was really holding us back, but after looking at it there are only 2 new things introduced and the rest of it is just review. We will start new grammar in Aug. and that starts with several weeks of review of the same things. :lol: Happy Dance Happy Dance!!! About the end of May I told the kids we needed to make sure and do school every school day so we could get done and have a break. I think they did well, now we have 2 extra weeks off.
I'm jealous (we're schooling July & August) but sounds like a well deserved vacation, and an excellent life lesson (IMO) in that your children are able to experience such results for their diligence. Hope you're going somewhere cool, but either way have fun!

We finished today!!!! The kids did double lessons so that we could finish today instead of waiting a few days. I am so excited. We are going to Colorado for a week. That should be a great change of pace for us.
How nice! Now you'll be able to know the lessons are done and can enjoy the vacation even more. It will be nice that you have time off to prepare for the vacation also. We just came off a two week off period and just started our *new year* last week.
I am so excited to be able to plan for the vaction, pack and clean without doing school. We are taking the week off after we get back so I can pull all the stuff together for the next few months of school.
