Ambleside?

    With all these books - do you all have a problem with the kids listening to some of the books?

    I thought that my son listening to Tom Sawyer to ease them into more reading.....

    By all means use audio books! That is great for the car too! Back then they didn't have audio and visual. What we like to do is after we read a book we try to find the movie. Same for Shakespeare. I thought it would be hard and Sam would hate it but that is one of our favorite subjects! We use Charles and Mary Lamb's book and then try to see the play or watch the movie. We probably won't begin reading the actual plays until high school.

    Cool - I feel better now :)

    I got "On the Shores of the Great Sea" today along with some other "Yesterday's Classics" for history and I am already enjoying looking at it!
