A lady at our church is a retiring kindergarten teacher. She was selling 20 years of stuff for $5 per banana box full. I cleaned up like a big dog! She had monthly themes, lessons with all materials needed. You name it she had it. She put a lot of hard work into making all the things she was selling. With very few exceptions everything was handmade, and I still can't get over the alphabet train she made. It included cars for blends, and a little object for each . Love it!
I was blown away by the time she put into making these materials. She said she gave up many weekends and evenings, and you can tell that's an understatement.
After all the work she's put into making these materials, I'm sure she is glad someone who appreciates it purchased it and will continue to put it to good use! This lady sounds like a very dedicated teacher. And you sure got a great deal! Anne
I was going through the things tonight, and found song cards for 'On Top Of Spaghetti'. She hand wrote these on those large index cards. She didn't just draw illustrations for each card, she cut tiny meatballs, tiny cans, creating almost 3D -like illustrations for each card. As far as I have seen, each song card is like this. She painted tiny pebbles to look like strawberries, some with green caps and some without, and made up these tiny trays to look like strawberry fields. It's humbling to see her heart within these materials.
