We were trying to get home to my husbands family in Pasco Wash and its a almost three day drive and I swore I would never do that again from San Antnio because of the snow storms last time.

We looked into flight and found $88 flights one way from SA to Tacoma.

If your from that way how are the passes during Nov thanksgiving time usually. Does it usually stay snowed in? We would have to get over the passes towards the Twi Cities area.

Do you recommend another way. I am thinking of getting a $39 flight from Tacoma just to Spokane to avoid that.

    Thanks for any help

I lived in eastern Washington for quite awhile though I don't now. The passes can be nasty, but they try to keep them open as much as possible and open them again as quickly as possible after a storm. Thanksgiving weather is very variable, could still be warm could have snow. From Spokane to Tri-Cities there are no passes, but if there is snow the winds can make visability pretty bad. Once again weather is unpredictable. When I was in college I had to drive through Tri-Cities to get home and usually had little trouble at Thanksgiving. Christmas was usually harder and January and February usually the worst for snow and wind. Hope that helped a little.
