I'm a freelance science writer, although I don't write for AC. I did some similar writing for awhile but IMO the return wasn't worth the time. Although I'm admittedly fortunate...I tried some general magazine writing and struggled with it - soooo much time spent researching articles, etc. I "fell back" on something that I was uniquely qualified to do on a continuous basis, lol - I was an astrophysics/creative writing major in college and did an internship with Sky & Telescope magazine, so I'm doing a lot of astronomy writing atm. Try magazine pitching in your field of interest...pay is *way* better.
AC?? I love to write, English was my favorite subject in school, and I almost got my short story published in a horror magazine in highschool as well (made some aweful choices and blew it off. My loss). I would love to get into writing again. *sigh*
I'm a freelance writer, although I prefer to call myself an Internet Marketer as I tend to write product reviews for money. I don't know what AC is, but I write in many different places and claim to have "multiple streams of income".
