Hey girls.. Before I forget..I wanted to post that I would be working at the Arlington, Texas Smoothing the Way booth. We will be doing curriculum counseling to all of the homeschoolers and trying to recruite newbies for our next year. Sheila will be working there too.. Mary James, the founder of STW (Smoothing the Way) will be doing two speaking sesssions and then when she is finished, in her words *the tsunami comes* of homeschoolers to our booth.:lol: If anybody is going there---come visit and say hi!
Tina, Cool I hope I will see you there. We are trying to put a group together to go to Arlington we are heading to San Ant. but trying to get one to go that way. I will let you know ok.
Let me know if you do--I will rotate a schedule with the other leaders, so I will have set hours I will be there. I really don't want to work a whole day-- I prefer to work two 1/2 days... We REALLY like going to San Antonio--it gives me and my girlfriend a chance to go to the Riverwalk, complete with mexican food and NO kids! Just girl time and curriculum, curriculum, curriculum
No..I don't think so. Arlington is usually the biggest for Mary and she needs more help there. Then I will probably go to Sethsa (just for me) since its in Houston. And then in August, I'm going to try to work at the one in the Woodlands (near Houston). That is almost in my backyard. That one last year she didn't seem to get any help because it is so late in the year and because its location is closer to Houston. So it will be work, fun, work the way I have the conventions scheduled. If something changes, and you know how that goes--I'll let you know.
San Antonio.... My "little" brother lives outside of there...I forget the name of the town just now. Maybe I can convince Carl that some year I NEED to go visit him at the same time the conference is going on.....lol! I did enjoy the River Walk when I visited him MANY years ago (before marriage!)
Oh, Jackie!! Come to one of the Houston ones instead! We don't have a River Walk, but you can stay here for free!
I can stay at Michael's for free, too! What does Houston have to offer me (other than Joy and Katie)? I KNOW!!! HURRICANES!!!

Interesting post about Houston Marilyn--I knew we were members of the Museum of Natural Science for a reason...We can't wait to see the exhibit on the Human Body...and all the Imax Shows.... We went and saw the mummy exhibit..Whoo hoo... I like living outside of Houston....close enough to enjoy some of the amenities--but further enough away that hopefully the kids are influenced by all the glitz the city life has... You know--fast cars, fast life, fast food, fast girls...mmmm Did I say that? YEP........ Deena,I keep thinking life will change sometime and I will actually get to meet ya'll too:angel: You never know when I might be in your neck of the woods sometime....
Heidi and I go to the convention in Pa together (CHAP). We met here on the forums! We had that one summer when Jackie, Jimmie Lu, Heidi and I all met up in Hershey. I would love to meet you all!!
Tina, If you're ever out in the Seattle area for a show or something, LET ME KNOW! I'll come to it so I can meet you, if nothing else! Crystal, I remember when that happened, wish I could've met up with you guys then! Maybe, just maybe, we'll go to MD next summer, and we can work out the time to go to the King Tut exhibit with ya'll! I surely do hope so, that'd be awesome!
If anyone is going to CHEO in Columbus is June, let me know (Ava Rose....?) and I'd love to meet up with you!!! Plus you can still keep King Tut in the back of your mind for next summer. I'll let everyone know what's happening as soon as they tell me, probably this fall!
