When my sis's friend had her baby, I told her you know the best gift was getting food that I didn't have to cook, especially the first couple of days when you're getting used to a new schedule. So my sis made 2 casserole type dishes one week & then 2 more the next. That way they could either eat them or throw them in the freezer.

I did that with our neighbors, too! Now or later, doesn't matter!

Also, with neighbors, both of them attended churches other than mine. I wasn't sure what, if anything, their church was going to do for them. This way, if their church provided meals for a week or whatever, they could save mine until that time was over.

I'd love to find someone to switch/exchange meals with.

Of course since it's raining - I made 3 lasagnas today, 1 easy chicken casserole, and so far 18 hot pocket lunch sandwiches.... so I have about 10 meals ready to go in the freezer and it feels kinda good to have that as a back up on those "running late" days!

I'd like to do more of that kind of cooking. Right now, I buy a family-pak of ground beef and cook up and freeze taco meat, meatloaf and hamburg patties. That's about it.
