    Thank you!

    My gift:
Dh and kids are building a fence on the side of our property that has a neighbor. We have a fence right now but the fence in our front yard is just a decorative short fence and I want it to be at least 6 ft tall board fence like our back yard. Our neighbor is a mess and I am tired of looking at it.

Then, a kitchen remodel with tile counters and tile wall behind the sink. We sure need it!

Okay, I just read some of the reasons for the best husband and while mine never bought me a pig this just might top it. Freddy was getting close to retirement when I found out Crystal's brother, Bobby, was living in a group home. His adoption in another county never happened and here was a young teenager with no home or prospects of finding one at the time. I told Freddy we needed to go get him and adopt him because he was out there all alone and he was Crystal's brother and we had known him since he was seven years old. Freddy never batted an eye. He just said, "what's another pound to an elephant" and we made the call that led us to our seventh child. So he didn't get to retire completely but he only works three days a week now. What a guy. I love him so much. Beth

Poetry huh? I'd be afraid of what my husband would write!!

Love the man.... really do..... but romance isn't his forte ;) Funny how when I was 17 and we met I thought he was romantic..... hmmmmmm

Hey - he did get me a roomba for x-mas as well :)

The thing with the pigs is that they are hertiage pigs - bred from the 1800's and there are less than 2000 of them in the US.... so they are "special" pigs - LOL (He got me goats too but not sure how he feels about that purchase!!)

I'm glad he's my best friend......especially since I don't play well with others since most don't understand me and I have no desire to be something I'm not. He's happy with me in sweats and up to my knees in pig poop :) Can't ask for more!!

OK Dana, how about this one: The other day I was on the treadmill, and was just finishing up when he got home from work. Let me just say that after an hour on the treadmill I wasn't the prettiest to see OR smell! He came in, looked at me and, without batting an eye said, "You're so beautiful and I love you so much!"

Hey, that does it for me! (be still my beating heart!)

He has a knack of knowing when I'm at a low point, and letting me know how much he loves me! We just know we were made for each other, and I thank the Lord for him daily!

These are the moments that no material item can beat whether a pig, goat, book, diamond, flowers, etc..., regardless of how much it costs. At least not to me! There is a certain intimacy and contentment in your husbands words. There is not a price that can be put on this! You are indeed blessed with a great husband. Still, mine is the best!!!!;)

My husband isn't perfect, but he's perfect for me. We discuss EVERYTHING. We've never fought about money, politics, religion, how to raise the kids, or any of the other "big" things couples fight about. We've had arguements, but they're usually stupid & about petty things. They don't last long & are almost always caused because one (or both) of us was very stressed by something else (work, the kids, insane family members, etc.).
He tells me that I'm beautiful & that he loves every day, even if I haven't showered, am sweaty from working out, or am still in my pjs with unbrushed hair at dinner time.
Not only does he put the lid down (before he flushes), but HE washes the toilet! He feeds & waters the cats, and cleans the litter boxes. He ehlps with housework & yardwork. And he never complains if the house isn't clean.
We don't agree about everything, but we respect each other's opinions.
I'd have to say we have an awesome marriage. We're both willing to work at it & compromise whenever possible. I'm his second wife. His first marrige was not a good one. He tells me constantly that he wouldn't want to be with anyone else. Actually, he's told me that I've spoiled him & he could never be happy with anyone else! I feel the same way about him. we may not be perfect, but we're perfect for each other.

My husband and I of 26 years never argue and never have a cross word to say to each other. It probably helps that he lives 20 minutes from here, and has for the past few years :)

My gift to me this year from income tax is my divorce. I finally waited long enough that it will only cost $200 because there is nothing left to fight over ... lol

Congratulations to all that found their perfect match. I am still looking ... I know he's out there, just waiting for God to put him in my path ...
