I used to have a booklet that went through a brief explanation of all of the Jewish holidays, their dates, and gave some ideas on how to celebrate them with your families in order to learn more about the Jewish faith.

It was a small paperback, I can't remember how many pages, but really wouldn't have qualified as a book.

Is anyone familiar with it or know the name of it? It was just the best little resource I have ever had on Jewish holidays and traditions.

    Thanks ahead of time! :)

If you do a Google search for "Feast of Trumpets", about 5 or so down there is a website called "BiblicalHolidays", if you click on that, they have a list and explanation of the Jewish/Old Testament holidays.

We celebrated them when I was a kid.. my favorite was always the Feast of Tabernacles, because we would actually go on vacation.

This year I asked my kids (10, 12, and 14) to celebrate Day of Atonement with me. For Day of Atonement you fast from sunset to sunset - they did drink tea though. I think it's a great reminder to be grateful. We ended the fast with a fabulous meal and gratitude for how blessed we are to be living in a country where we have enough food to eat and readily available clean water to drink... not to mention all of the other luxuries we have.
