I we just started using Monarch...So far I like no issues and my daughter is 10 and a grade behind we are doing the 3rd grade...She likes it...Its well put together... does have a bug that says it off line and I just log out and log back in...Its easy to navigate and we do the 40$ a month plan and cant beat the price...I like I am go and rest the lesson if she didn't do so well on it and you can print the lessons if needed and get daily grade reports instantly you can customize the lesson plan easily...Id give it a try
I have some questions about this curriculum. Does this curriculum actually teach the lesson with videos or is it taught mostly with reading? My daughter has to have her lessons taught in a way that she can "see". I can't find any samples of the lessons on the website. I'm hoping this is exactly what we are looking for.
I looked into it. It was way too "school at home" for me; I prefer to combine my kids, etc., when I can. But for those that use that style of teaching, it seems very good.
There is a lot of reading. My DD didn't like it at all. I The videos that they do have are tiny. It seems very easy in content. They do hit spelling pretty hard that is if you make the child do the games it offers. There are some videos telling about the software here: http://www.homeschool-curriculum-savings.com/aop-monarch.html
