Has anyone heard of or used paperspine? It's basically like netflix for books. I did just a real quick search and they have a lot of books that our local library doesn't have. Just curious if anyone here has used it and had anything good or bad to say about it before I sign up. Thanks!

That sounds fabulous to me. I adore books, and our local library...isn't quite what I was used to. I'm off to check it out.

    I never heard of it.

Off to check it out...Oh, that is neat. I wish you got more books than that though.

I have recently discovered that our libraries here in Wy are all connected through the internet and such. Now I can go online and request any book I want from where ever in the state, public libraries, college ones, school ones, all of them and have the book sent to my library for pick up! Now this really makes me happy, doesn't cost me a penny!

hmmm going to check it out. We never find the time to get to the library! Even if we did our library sucks... and even though we have a little sticker that says we can use pretty much any library in the state.. it's not convienient to travel out of town for books.. so we usually buy everything.

I've never asked but I expect we can do the library loan thing at our library too. The problem is that involves me having to actually get everyone dressed and drive to the library.... and then do all that over again to return the books! I know.... that's incredibly lazy of me!! :)

The idea of having the books delivered right to my house and then I just have to walk out to the mailbox to return them is right up my alley.

I love the idea. If work ever picks back up for hubby I may have to sign up. I'm not a fan of the library really. Ours is soooo small, organized horribly, and feels really awkward to me. I love the one in the next town over, where I grew up, but it means a 20 minute each direction drive to go there... and really lets face it, with a 3 and 4 year old.. a trip to the library is like a nightmare! Once I add a newborn in there, forget it. We have tried to make a habit of evening trips for myself and the oldest, but I don't like to travel for the books and really don't care for our library here in this town so I'm back to square one.

I signed up last night and added a whole bunch of books to my queue. The first two shipped this morning, now I just have to wait patiently..... I really hope the shipping time is less than a week. That's the only negative I saw, they ship media mail so it can be really slow.

This is why I want a Kindle so bad, and also why it's probably a good thing I don't have one!! Any book I want.. right now, with no waiting..... we'd be broke in a week!!
