Arbor Day! So what kind of.....

    ...tree would/will you plant?

    I'd love to find something non-deciduous (I hate to rake!), but affordable...

    Two decorative trees I also had in mind that may not necessarily be non-deciduous that seem to do well in this part of Texas are:

    • Bradford Pear Tree
    • Redbud Tree

    What other ideas do you have? :D

    My favorites in my yard are the redbud and my dogwood.
    Bradford pears are beautiful trees too.

    One of these days I'm going to plant River Birch trees. Our backyard usually floods at least once a year, so that would probably be the only tree to make it out there. I've got a golden chain tree in my front yard that I just love! The yellow flowers are so bright and pretty!

    Anything that gives me fruit. We could use a couple peach trees.
