    Not sure if we are yet or not. I need to look at the weather and see if it will be too cold to grill. It's 7 degrees right now and if it's 30 or so by the middle of the week I don't mind that, but I will not grill if it's colder than that.

    We love to put stuff on the grill too! It would be great to get corn on the cob and grill that. My brother make that so much better than I can! I also like onions, greenpeppers with a potato all in one foil. That tastes so good on the grill!

    I will prob make rice krispie treats and cut them in hearts. Also cookies, I love cut out cookies with frosting on them.

    Now I am so hungry and I can smell the grill already!!!

    DH and I exchange gifts and chocolate. I bought little things for the kids (chocolate, pencils, stampers, cups and stickers)

    I'm making heart shaped waffles (borrowed my mom's waffle iron she didn't even know she had) and I'll cut up strawberries and put whipcream on top. Also will put food color and marchino cherry juice in milk for special pink milk.

    I think we are having steak, salad and baked potato for dinner.

    WE HAVE A DATE TONIGHT!!!

    Phil Keagy is performing in central Ohio, and I got tickets!!! For all of you young kids, in the late 70's Phil Keagy, Larry Norman and 2nd Chapter of Acts started the Christian Music movement. It's reported that when Rolling Stones magazine asked Eric Clapton what is was be like to be the greatest guitar player, Clapton replied, "I wouldn't know; you'd have to ask Phil Keagy." He's just incredible!!!

    So Carl and I are going tonight, and we're having dinner at Red Lobster!

    I picked up rice krispies yesterday and I'm going to make scotcheroos. It's about the only thing I'll use corn syrup for, like Mr. Food would say "OOH IT'S SO GOOD!!" (that guy drives me crazy!)
    Kellogg's® Chocolate Scotcheroos
    INGREDIENTS

    * 1 cup light corn syrup
    * 1 cup sugar
    * 1 cup peanut butter
    * 6 cups Kellogg's® Rice Krispies® cereal or Kellogg's® Cocoa Krispies™ cereal
    * 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate morsels
    * 1 cup butterscotch chips

    DIRECTIONS

    1. Place corn syrup and sugar into 3-quart saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until sugar dissolves and mixture begins to boil. Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter. Mix well. Add Kellogg's® Rice Krispies® cereal. Stir until well coated. Press mixture into 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan coated with cooking spray. Set aside.
    2. Melt chocolate and butterscotch chips together in 1-quart saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly. Spread evenly over cereal mixture. Let stand until firm. Cut into 2 x 1-inch bars when cool.

    I think the new appliances will be our Valentine's gifts! If we go out to eat, it will not be on Valentine's Day. Restaurants are just too crowded! I took the girls to Build-a-Bear on Friday. We have all been sick for almost 2 weeks, and we just needed to get out of the house!! I let them each make a bear, but told them that would be their Valentine's gifts. We once made the mistake of going to Build-a-Bear on Valentine's Day-- never again. DS just wanted money, because he's saving for a new Playstation game.

    I'm going to let the kids make something for dh, but I'm not sure what just yet.

    Our co-op is having a party. It's going to have the standard fare...craft of valentines, and mailboxes for their valentines (the premade ones), story hours, games dealing with heart health, etc. We're also doing a "Spread the Bread" drive where we're all baking a loaf of bread and it will be donated to a local drop off that will distribute it. They've assured me I can make gluten-free bread, so I'm going to.

    Not at home, much. Hubby's got a crazy week, so we may do our family thing on Friday night. My husband's been craving red velvet cupcakes, so I'm going to try a gluten free version...see how that grabs him. We'll probably do a good dinner of London Broil, asparagus w/ hollandaise and roasted red potatoes.

    :)
