Thank you Shilman! I read that it needed to be returned to the superintendant in person. is that not so? Just the main office will do?

You are quite welcome! It needs to be turned in to the school district/superintendant's office, but I have always turned it in to the secretary in the office. When I pulled my middle daughter out five years ago (she was the first one to come out), after I turned my paperwork in, the superintendant asked to talk to me. I agreed, and he let me know he was "disappointed' in my decision to homeschool. However, I remained firm in my decision, and that was that. Since then, I have pulled out my other two. By now, they are used to seeing me every summer to turn in the paperwork, and they make no comments. There are just so many educational problems in the area, and so much lack of concern from ninety-seven percent of the teachers, I knew the right choice was to educate them safely here at home. My sister-in-law teaches in the school district, and she completely understood our reasons and supported us.
