These are great ideas. There is one thing I think one should start with, however: developing an educational philosophy. First off, it creates more vision in your homeschool. Second, I have a horrible time with being attracted to every new resource out there. But I think first about how it fits with my philosophy and most gets discarded right off. The rest can be prioritized. Between that and just waiting a bit before making any purchases, I haven't made any real purchases that I have regretted.
