So I posted a little bit about Reagan getting the opportunity to drive a 1/2 scale monster truck at the truck show that was just here this past weekend. Well, I knew it would happen, he is really interested in doing it "full time".. this year they had 13 appearances.. so really only a handful of weekends a year. The mini monster trucks team owner said Reagan has some great potential. To move further with it we need to take him to Florida for a training weekend. It's not a cheap weekend ($2000 for each kid who does the course plus a hotel and such for everyone). It will take a lot of pinching and saving for my family to pay for this... and most likely only Reagan will get to take it because I can not afford $8000 for them all to do it.

That all is the easy part. The hard part? I think we need to work on us as a family. Hubby and I both need more patience. Reagan, as I have mentioned before is most likely on the Aspergers side of the spectrum, needs to work on not being so scared of people talking to him, he needs to learn his temper needs kept in check, and we need to work on some devices to help him overcome the feeling of losing control. How do we do all of this? I told my hubby that we would spend this next year working on this and see if we feel he is emotionally ready for training next year.

Oh... and if I may end up in the public eye at all... I need to lose some weight (or a lot of it!).... that is a challenge all by itself, can't even imagine doing it with all the other things going on..ugh.
