My son learns songs so quickly, sometimes with hearing it one time. I just wondered if there is good auditory learning supplies out there. He is preschool aged. Thanks.
My daughter is the same way! We do a lot of talking around here! I'll be interested to hear what others have to say!
These are the types of learners that do well with books on tape. A lot of curriculums these days (especially say, history curriculums) have their full text available on CD. This will also work well for reading - pick books above his level and get them on tape or CD at the library. Get the book to go with them, and let the tape read the story to him. (Don't discount reading to him tons and tons yourself, too!) This is the kind of learner we all hope for. He's the type that will do well if you just get a teacher's manual, for instance, and read to him what he is to do. You might have to read it twice, or let him follow along with you as you read. At the same time, this kiddo may not do as easily with full-body activities, or even fine motor skills such as drawing and handwriting. (Or, he may. Who knows!) Visual discrimination may be more difficult for him; come up with little rhymes to help him remember things. (Check out "The Visual, Kinesthetic, Auditory Alphabet" at HomeschoolEstore. It's got some great things for being able to recognize the letters, and you could easily carry it over into recognizing numbers as well.) Songs work well for these learners as well. Anyway. Some ideas.
