I watched it because of that reason and because I wanted to see how bad the girls really had it... Iw as mad at those parents! REALLY MAD, what a couple of DUH people,s thank God for SuperNanny, which I love to watch because for one thing, it helps me to examine myself to see if I have any of those bad qualities to fix, and second I like the cool ideas she has for organising life in general!

No doubt! My dh watched with me and said that if he ever gets to be like that with his teenagers I should kick him and kick him hard. LOL

I fell asleep towards the end so I never saw the resolution of the 'homeschooling'. Did the parents stick to the schedule or send their kids to school?

I did appreciate the way she tackled hsing in general. Not once was she critical (at least while I was watching) of hsing. . .but rather of the way that particular household was set up.

she set up a room for them to do thier homeschooling with otu problems, the parents claimed they would stick with it and teared up and all, I hope they did! The thing where they show the what happened later thing had them still following it according to what was said on camera.. but I tend to think the girls were right and the parents were on show, the mom did her hair all fancy smancy and all that, give me a break, I bet the only reason they are home schooling is to have someoen there with the boys.
I did not see anyone they may have hired for babysitting the boys either? AND they only showed how they did more fun stuff together such as going to a water park, having fun is a good thing though considering the girls only had work prior to that, what were those people thinking???

I've seen these, and, to tell the truth, there would be no way I'd use the one that's around here. I happened to live next door to one of the people who worked in it. I know too much!!!

    Sneeky
If I could find something that shows me bowing down to your greatness, I would. I have a 4 mo old, and 2 year old and a 4 year old. There are days I feel like I am going to go insane if I have to take them into another store. That's why they don't get a cookie when we first get there, but instead right before we get in line. Yep, I bribe them! I would love to go shopping by myslef, but my hubby works odd hours, so that's usually not an option. My grandma told me just the other day that she would love to take the kids when I do my next big monthly shopping. I may just do that, because sometimes, I just need a break!

You're so sweet but I assure you there is no greatness here. I really shouldn't complain. . .dh is very helpful and although he works odd hours. . .he also has a lot of time off. I only do the babysitter for shopping if he's not available and I really, really have to go. All of my friends have a lot fewer kids (I got married younger) and to boot they all have help from their family--but seem to feel as if they don't.

Ironically, dh still has off for Christmas vacation and so we are all going grocery shopping! ;-) LOL I should capture it in pictures!

You know, I've got a h'sing friend with 9 kids. Numbers 7 and 8 are twins. Can't imagine how SHE actually did grocery shopping!!! (Her dh's response when she told him about twins was, "C'mon, Susan! Stop teasing me!")

A family just started going to our church that has 11 kids, with 2 sets of twins in there, and she is pregnant again! I have NO CLUE how they do that!!! There are twin boys that are 12, they're the oldests. Then there are twin girls---I think they're 4. It's cute, cuz during church often the twin boys are each holding one of the twin girls! :)

They've got to have help of some kind, but I don't know them well enough yet to know any more.

So, Sneaky, guess you don't have it quite as bad, lol!!! Maybe Deena needs to get her friend to mentor you!!!

(Re-reading that, I'm not sure my "tone" will be properly interpreted! Sneaky, I'm teasing you!!! Please don't think I'm being mean or insensitive, because that is NOT my intent!!!)

But let alone time and sanity, how could anyone afford that many kids in this day and age?! I'm NOT slamming them, I'm actually in awe of anyone who can do that!

Hubby and I watched SN last night. I was TICKED off at those parents. Seriously, I was too naive to think idiots like that didn't exsist, but they DO!!! Those poor girls, and the older one even at the end always looked like she was ill. If I would have known that family I would have had social services called on them, seriously. Thank God for Jo-jo! I hoped they stuck with the things she taught them. Those parents needed to get a swift kick in the arse!!!

That's what I'd like to know too. As long as they aren't playing the system because they have so many kids then more power to them! And what I mean by that is having more in order to get welfare, or already being on welfare and keep getting pregnant over and over (to me, IMO, it's just irresponsible). Sorry if that offended anyone. I could go on, but I think you get my point. That is what I find intruiging about the Duggar family. They have SO many kids, but get absolutely no assistance. I find that remarkable and inspiring. Some people can't even raise one right, let along 17/18 or however many they have now. LOL I lost track a long time ago.

I don't think my poor body could handle being prego that many times. Bleah! 2 was plenty thanks! 50lbs with each kid - the second was was worse because of the faster weight gain so...I carried the weight longer. No fun on the back & hips.

Besides I couldn't imagine cooking, cleaning and doing laundry for a large family. I mean geez my hubby has 3 older brothers (2 are twins) and I couldn't imagine caring for 4 boys. lol

My hat is off to those that can do the big family thing and do it right.

I am happy with mine but I just don't feel I have my 'quiver full' but the Lord keeps sending us kids who need rides, or help with stuff, so maybe thats why he left room in my heart?
If I never have another child , I would be content I am sure, but I guess I have always wanted an even number? First I wanted 6 like the brady bunch, then 4 cause dh wanted 2 when we talked about kids before we got married, so I was conceeding to 4, but ended with 3 at this point for reasons beyond my control lol.
Now I sit and wonder if God has more for me somewhere out there?
A few times my sis has wanted to send me her youngest for a while, I would take him in a second but would find it hard to give him back lol. Hes such a sweetie pie!
So I have avoided that one as much as possible, it would be hard to give back a nephew who came to stay as your own for a long time... that is also why I am afraid to try fostering, it would break my heart... but this is about baby sitting hahha!
I still say if I needed one I would pay them whatever I had, not a set fee, lol but that is how I did it as a kid and young adult.
