I need to bake bread, the frozen loaf kind.......... I need to make 2 loafs, I don't have the right size pan, can I put them on a cookie sheet or other kind of pan? I also have a glass pan that they would both fit in......... Sorry when it comes to bread I am no Martha Steward.
Yes you can use a cookie sheet. I often do. They aren't the prettiest sometimes since I get irritated with myself when trying to form it. Then I decide I don't care how it looks as long as it tastes good.
I know you are already done, but sometimes I will make the loaves a little longer, and put them on a cookie sheet. Right before they go in the oven, cut slashes in the tops and spray with water. Also spray the sides and bottom of your oven with water when you put them in and it makes the crust crusty, like french bread.
actually they did turn out good, I found a good pan and I used parchment paper to cover up the inside of my "ugly" pan.
I use a cookie sheet for my french bread and soda breads. I just heard you can cover the pans with aluminum foil as well-- it keeps the pans cleaner and I hear they pop out easier. I haven't tried it yet....
